PORN IN THE WORKPLACE - A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER

(STUFF) Porn on work computers is a universal problem but good communication and strong policies can help clean up the workplace. Michael Herman reports.

The police porn scandal has raised a hard-core management issue facing all organisations. When 330 police were busted last month for breaching their employer's internet-use policy they exposed fellow officers to ridicule and further eroded public confidence in the force.
Amid claims from National Collective of Rape Crisis spokeswoman Ange Jones that this showed "how police are degrading women", most outraged observers ignored the evidence, which pointed to a low level of inappropriate behaviour among officers compared with the rest of society. Read it
